Hands of the Carpenter is passionate about serving single mothers and widows in need. Hands provides HOPE… beginning with automobile repair and maintenance to support their desire for economic self-sufficiency. For each woman Hands of the Carpenter serves, the need for automobile repair is immediate. Without it, she can lose her job, without a job, she could lose her home and then suddenly a seemingly simple repair can lead to homelessness.
Please contact Crystal at email@example.com or 303-526-4488 opt.2 to volunteer. Come once a year or more to serve on one of the following teams:
Car Care Teams consist of 3-4 individuals with all level of experience (really…from rebuilding motors to putting a check mark on a piece of paper). These groups are the ones that provide the oil changes, vehicle inspections, etc.
Check-In Teams consist of 2-3 people that check in the women and their vehicles when they arrive, direct the vehicles to the car care teams, ensure forms are signed and show the women to their vehicles when they are completed.
Host/Hostess Teams consist of 2-3 people that create conversation with the women while their vehicles are being taken care of, set up food/drink and keep them stocked. Prayer opportunities with the women exist here.
Car Wash Teams consist of 2-3 people that wash the exterior of the vehicles if the women choose to have that done after the car care team is finished.
Craft Teams consist of 2-4 people who help the children of the women we serve with crafts while they are waiting.
Vehicle donations are used for women who need a vehicle for parts, or to provide resources to repair their existing vehicle. Together they will impact more than 200 women’s lives this year!
To donate, call 303-526-4488 or visit www.ehands.org, gather the title and keys, and Hands will provide necessary receipts and pick up if necessary.
