Do you have a background in law enforcement, security, military service or medical training? Are you able to serve one or two Sundays a month providing protective and assistive services to our congregation? On the usher team, volunteers serve once a month on rotating basis. Duties include welcoming and passing out weekly handouts, assisting in seating and collection of the offering. We are looking for outgoing, friendly, energetic men and women ages 14 and up. The main role of greeters is to welcome people to church prior to services on Sunday mornings. We are looking for warm, friendly men and women ages 18. The main purpose of the Visitor Center is to welcome guests and answer questions. Volunteers work alongside Ministry Leaders who can answer any of the really tricky questions. Our hospitality team is seeking new teammates to provide support for families during memorial or funeral services held at FBC. The position responsibilities may include: table décor, beverage and food preparation and clean up, answering questions for visitors or offering encouragement and support to family members. The time commitment for each service is normally between 1-3 hours and most services are during business hours Monday-Saturday. Are you able to lift heavy objects? We have a designated person every service to help put the pulpit up after the music set for the speaker. The Loving Hands Quilting Ministry is a unique S2 whose main goal is to cover a hurting person in prayer with a quilt being a tangible sign of God’s ever present grace that provides hope and healing. They desire to let people know that they are not alone in their difficulties and that someone is praying for them. Anyone wanting to service with willing hands and loving heart is welcome! Sewing experience is not required because assistance is needed in many areas. This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month in the SHED from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
