Coat Drive

September 15 – October 13

Note: We are no longer collecting coats or winter items.

Together we filled the coat racks for Christ’s Body Ministries, in Denver. A warm coat means so much when you’re homeless. There’s something hopeful about its warm embrace. It’s a shelter against the cold and a companion at night. It can bring hope for a new tomorrow.

Christ’s Body Ministries, is a Denver-based rescue mission. They feed, clothe, heal, and share the Gospel 365 days per year with Denver’s poor and homeless. They offer a day shelter, a long-term residential life growth community, 30 day respite care, and a mobile community food bank. They also offer daily Bible studies, pastoral care and counselors, and weekly church services.

We collected gently used or new practical winter coats and hung them on the coat racks in the Lobbies for donation. The majority of the coats will go to Christ’s Body Ministries but we will also distribute coats at Mean Street Ministries,  Open Door Ministries, and in Chinle, Arizona.
