The Meaning of Work
Sundays | September 8 – 29 | 9:00 a.m. | Evergreen Room
Over 4 weeks, we’ll explore the Biblical meaning, purpose, and value of work as well as the vocational call God has given every Christian. Work is where we make culture and come into contact with our world and is central to God’s mission to redeem souls, systems, and structures. This study will invite you to reflect on the meaning and purpose of your life’s work and to transform your work into service to those around you. We’ll be using the book “Faithful Work: In the Daily Grind with God and for Others” to purchase ahead of time.
Parenting the Strong-Willed Child the Love & Logic Way (R)
Tuesdays | September 10 – October 22 | 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. | Aspen Room
This 7-week class will help parents gain a greater understanding of their child’s unique temperaments, develop more effective parental responses, and strengthen the parent/child relationship as well as implementing Love and Logic principles for managing behaviors.
Cost: $20 per couple. Childcare is available for a small fee with prior registration.
Merge Premarital Class
Sunday Nights | September 22 – November 10 | 6:00 p.m. | Evergreen Room
Merge is an 8-week study to help prepare couples for marriage. The classes provide group opportunities to explore and prepare for marriage by studying Biblical principles guided by leaders utilizing marriage study guides and personal experiences. Join us starting Loft for teachings and small group discussions.
Cost: $60/couple
DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. While we don’t offer DivorceCare here at FBC, there are several churches in the area that do. To look for a group in the area, click below.
