Acts 1:1-11
We are not meant to just sit around with other Christians, we are called to carry the Good News of Jesus Christ. But we don’t have to do it on our own. We are given the power of the Holy Spirit!
The First Outward Act | September 16, 2018
Shawn Peterson
Acts 2:1-12
In Acts 2, the Spirit radically impacts the lives of the disciples and that’s how we should feel. We should want to talk all the time to everyone about how our lives have been impacted by the Lord. It should be the most natural thing in the world.
The Second Outward Act | September 23, 2018
Shawn Peterson
Acts 4:23-31
The prayer the disciples prayed is a powerful model of how we should pray. They think about God’s work instead of asking Him to change the circumstances. We’re reminded to surrender our will to God instead of trying to solve our own problems.
A Case Study of FBCs Vision | September 30, 2018
Shawn Peterson
Acts 3 & 4
How do we deal with past mistakes in our own lives? Sometimes we rationalize, blame others, or live in denial. As we see in Acts 3, even if you’ve made huge mistakes in your life, you are still welcome in God’s family if you will repent.
Living with Eternal Impact | October 7, 2018
Shawn Peterson
Acts 8
This Sunday, we wrap up the Outward Acts series. We’ll look at how living in faithful obedience to God with a heightened expectation can have eternal impact. You never know how God will use you! You only need to be faithful to Him and show and tell others about Jesus.
